Unlike traditional 3-axis machining centers, which can only move a workpiece along three axes (X, Y, and Z), 5-axis machining centers offer two additional rotational axes (A and B). This extra movement enables simultaneous machining from various angles and continuous tool movements, allowing for the production of complex and intricate components with higher accuracy and efficiency.
